Home care, quietly kept

Holmes

You see. We observe.

Walk through your home once. Holmes notices what's easy to miss — an expired smoke alarm, rubber washer hoses, a recalled water heater, a freeze tonight — and reminds you before it becomes a problem.

How it works

One walk-through. Then Holmes keeps watch.

  1. Scan

Film your home room by room, the way you'd show it to a friend. Holmes finds the things that need care — alarms, appliances, hoses, vents, even your houseplants — and asks for a quick photo of a label when it needs a model number or a date.

  2. Report

A calm, ordered report of what Holmes found: what matters now, what can wait, and why. Each note explains the reasoning in plain language, with simple steps — and a clear word when it's a job for a licensed professional.

  3. Keeps watch

Holmes remembers so you don't have to. It reminds you when a smoke alarm reaches the end of its life or a filter is due — and, with Holmes Plus, when a freeze is forecast for your ZIP code or a recall is issued for an appliance you own.

From the casebook

The small things that turn into big ones.

Most home trouble starts as something you walked past a hundred times. These are the kinds of details Holmes is built to notice.

  • A smoke alarm past its 10-year life The date is printed on the back. Almost no one checks it.
  • Rubber hoses behind the washing machine Out of sight until one bursts. Braided steel is a small, inexpensive swap.
  • A foil or plastic dryer duct They trap lint and can catch fire. Holmes suggests the metal duct to use instead.
  • A houseplant that's toxic to your pets Tell Holmes about your cat or dog, and it looks twice at the greenery.

Questions

Good questions, plainly answered.

What does Holmes do?

You film a walk-through of your home with your iPhone. Holmes identifies the things that need care — smoke and CO alarms, the water heater, furnace filters, washer hoses, dryer vents, outdoor faucets, houseplants — and gives you a short report and paced reminders. With Holmes Plus it also watches for freeze forecasts in your ZIP code and product recalls for appliances you own.

How is Holmes different from Meta's Muse?

Muse, Meta's personal AI agent, works in your digital life: email, bookings, forms and purchases across your apps. Holmes works on your physical home: it looks at the things in your rooms that no inbox or app knows about, and keeps track of their care. They do different jobs and work well side by side. Holmes is not affiliated with Meta.

How much does Holmes cost?

Holmes is free to start: one full home scan, the full Top 5 report and up to three active reminders. Holmes Plus is $59.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $9.99 a month, and adds unlimited scans and reminders, freeze alerts and recall checks.
